Morgan went on play NCAA soccer at UC Berkeley where she helped lead the Golden Bears to a national championship in 2008. Her 45 collegiate goals ranks third all-time for California. She also set a school record with 17 game-winning goals, showcasing her knack for clutch performances.

The Western New York Flash picked Morgan first overall in the 2011 WPS draft, kickstarting her professional career.
