Early Life and Career Beginnings
Luke Hemmings was born on July 16, 1996 in Sydney. He became interested in music at a young age, teaching himself to play guitar as a teenager.
In 2011 at age 15, Luke began posting cover songs on YouTube and caught the attention of other Australian musicians. He joined the YouTube cover band The Janoskians with friends Beau Brooks, Jai Brooks and others. They gained a following online by posting pop song covers and comedic videos.
